Female discharge, urine leakage, doubts & misgivings and wiping over the socks

Answered by SunniPath Answer Service Team

Question:

I am a 24 year old woman. I find yellow liquids (occasionally white) on my underwear frequently. Sometimes I know it is thick (and thus from my vagina) and sometimes it is not thick, and sometimes I don’t know because it absorbs into the pad. If this is vaginal secretion, do I have to make wudu for each prayer and wash my privates each time? You mentioned you don’t have to if it’s not discolored (do you mean by blood? there is no blood. what about yellow colors?). Also, sometimes I feel like it may be urine leaking in addition to the vaginal fluid (because sometimes I feel like I need to hold back my urine or it will leak). I feel I may also have additional fluid due to sexual excitement (i.e. if my husband hugs/kisses me) or I think of something sexual sometimes. Do I assume that it’s just vaginal fluids? Also, I am plagued by constant doubts regarding tahara and excessive gas, so this issue of changing my pad for every prayer and washing myself (which now includes urinating each time for fear that I may also leak urine if I don’t) takes almost 15-20 minutes each time. This means that I may end up spending 2.5 hours in wudu/prayers every day even though I am extremely busy with my school work. Can I combine my prayers even if I am not certain that I am leaking urine? If I make wudu and put my socks on (so I can wipe over them later) but find that I leaked something before I put on my socks, can I still wipe over them later? This is an extremely time consuming issue, so if you could please clarify this for me, I would appreciate this!
